ARTIST RESIDENCIES | 2018<\/h5>\n

In 2018, seven artists \u00a0were hosted in the Gasp\u00e9: young artists and international photographers from Qu\u00e9bec and elsewhere traveled the peninsula to create a place where art invites people to set off and discover the region. For the first time, Rencontres set up a design residency with the aim of creating a multipurpose exhibit pavilion, which will be inaugurated in 2019 for the 10th-anniversary edition. Since 2015, Rencontres has been providing visibility, unique in Qu\u00e9bec, to the photobook as an art object. This year, several events provided the public access to works devoted to Qu\u00e9bec and international photographers: ___inauguration of the public collection<\/a>: donation of 140 books to the Biblioth\u00e8que de Carleton-sur-Mer___Photobook Club de Montr\u00e9al<\/a>: evening hosted by Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Hamelin and Jos\u00e9e Schryer___Exhibition<\/a>: the 2018 photobook.<\/p>\n
